Teacher
I graduated from Beaver High School in Beaver, Oklahoma. I loved learning and have always had a passion to teach others!
I graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma with a Bachelors in Education! At that time I majored in Special Education! Later I also received certification in Elementary Education from the University of Arkansas!
I have attended many professional development workshops, and conferences pertaining to education! I enjoy learning new things to share with my students!!
I started teaching in August, 2018. This is my 2nd year at the Huntsville/Saint Paul School District. I am the 1st grade homeroom teacher, and I also teach 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade Literacy.
I started teaching in 1987 in Elkins, Arkansas. I taught Special Education for 15 years, and then I taught 2nd grade for the remaining 12 years. I enjoy teaching the youth in our church, and I am very active in community events. Having a relationship with the people in our community is one of the most rewarding things I can do.
I was married in 1988, and together my husband and I have 2 children. I love my family, and now I have a grandson that I get to spoil and have fun with.
My hobbies are playing the piano, singing, and traveling. These are all things I like to do in when I am not teaching.
