I began substitute teaching for St. Paul Elementary in January 2017. I was hired to teach lower elementary literacy to first, second, and third grade students for the 2017-2018 school year. It was a great year and I learned so much. I returned to kindergarten for the 2018-2019 year. I discovered this is where the magic happens for me and I am excited to begin the 2020-2021 academic year with 11 students!
Before moving to Arkansas, I taught kindergarten in Lebanon, MO for fifteen years. I was an elementary librarian for three years, but my heart never left kindergarten. It is my favorite grade level of all!
My husband, Landon McNiel, works for Freedom Fire Pro. in Rogers, AR. We have four children.
Levi and his wife Cerena live nearby. Their children are Emmett, Carson, and Karolina. It is a blessing to have three beautiful grandbabies!
Cole graduated from MIssouri State University and joined the Air Force last year. He is stationed at Longfellow AFB where he studies linguistics.
Logan is my daughter and she is a freshman at North Arkansas College in Harrison, AR. She will be transferring to Foundation Institute in McKenney, TX in January.
Cayler is our youngest and he attends Classical Conversations in Fayetteville, where he enjoys history and debate!
When I am not teaching, I most enjoy spending time with my family. I have four children and three grandbabies!
My family moved to AR in 2014. I quickly discovered I enjoy hiking all the trails in this part of the state. My favorite place to go hiking is the Lost Valley Trail in at Ponca, AR. I am always looking for new trails, so please share if you have a favorite!
